PlayPod contract FAQs

What does our contract include?

Your annual PlayPod subscription includes:

  • 4 top up deliveries a year – a process that we invite you to be part of so that you get the scrap that is appealing to your children.

  • 6 online training places, suitable for new and existing staff. See our upcoming dates and book here.

  • Ongoing play support – via telephone/email; face to face from our top up team when they visit to deliver scrap. We host regular Online Drop In Sessions.

  • Access to our Online Member’s Area where you will find a variety of resources to support play and keep your PlayPod running as it should be.

  • Membership to Children’s Scrapstore.

Can we cancel our contract?

Yes of course (although closing a PlayPod is a sorry sight). We require 3 months written notice for cancellation.

We appreciate that the financial landscape is bleak and why cost cutting measures are necessary, but now more than ever, children need high quality opportunities to play freely. Children’s freedom has been curtailed over generations but the play deprivation during and in the aftermath of the pandemic has significantly impacted on their social, physical, and emotional wellbeing. They need access to play that ignites their imaginations; supports problem solving skills and resilience; fosters social skills and friendships and reduces issues and incidents over lunchtime that eat into class teaching time.

If you wanted to restart your contract again in the future, you would then need to invest in our restart programme which would include an element of refresher training.

If you would like to know when your current contract expires, please get in touch.

Why isn’t our PlayPod as good as it used to be?

Inevitably if the PlayPod is tired, over stocked or just not operating well, it will lose appeal and momentum. When children disengage, staff will too. We’d really like the chance to help put things back on track and inspire everyone once again if this is the case. Your contract with us offers training and continual support for lunchtime staff. We know that ‘people make play’ – adults need confidence and an approach that understands and facilitates challenging, stimulating play opportunities. Book a support call and we can help you get back on track.
