Risk Benefit Assessment
Our PlayPod training includes support to manage risk and how to carry out dynamic risk benefit assessments while on the playground with loose parts. Read our guide on managing risk here.
This example loose parts risk benefit assessment (RBA) must be adapted by each school/setting depending on current scrap, outside environment and types of play demonstrated by children. It is not an exhaustive list of scrap, potential activities, or potential hazards but will give you a starting point.
Download a blank RBA template here. The RBA will always be a working document. When extra scrap is added and play changes your risk assessment needs to be updated.
